I am an Assistant Professor of Finance & Real Estate at the College of Business, Colorado State University. My research explores the intersection of human capital and corporate finance, examining how firms respond to key labor market dynamics and regulatory changes. More specifically, my work investigates the financial implications of layoff announcements, minimum wage shocks, cybersecurity breaches, and disclosure requirements.
I earned my PhD in Finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and hold a Master’s and Bachelor’s (Honors) degree in Economics from Christ University and Delhi University. Through my research, I aim to deepen our understanding of how corporate policies are shaped by labor market forces, offering insights with broad implications for businesses, policymakers, and investors.
